Handoff formats and destinations

Compact mode removes redundant locator and geometry noise while retaining correlation. Full mode keeps the unabridged payload. A separate preference includes or omits screenshots; disabling them preserves metadata, pins, locators, review, and handoff while avoiding image storage. Inline image data is stripped from text payloads to prevent oversized prompts. The workspace Settings dialog synchronizes these delivery preferences with the active backend.

Pinar can adapt the preamble and Markdown shape for Claude, Codex, Grok, and other supported coding-agent destinations. The underlying captureId, pinId, and visual-context contract stay the same.

In the extension options, a switch sets handoffMode to full when checked and compact when unchecked. Compact is the stored default and keeps each useful fact once: pinId, comment, cssSelector, domPath, and innerText, plus box or coords only for area pins or pins that have no locator. Full keeps the unabridged capture. Both projections still drop data: screenshot URLs from the JSON; an inline image is stored as a null URL and a screenshot_inline warning so the prompt stays bounded.

Click Save so preferences:set writes handoffMode and includeScreenshot to the active backend and chrome.storage.sync. Unknown handoffMode values fall back to compact; includeScreenshot defaults to true. Adapter destinations are cursor, claude, codex, and grok: each prepends its own preamble, but captureId, pinIds, and comments stay identical. The copy-viewer-content switch is disabled whenever includeViewer is off.

• Set the compact/full switch and the includeScreenshot switch, then click Save before the next copy.
• Leave includeScreenshot on unless you intentionally want metadata, pins, locators, and handoff without image storage.
• After saving, copy once and confirm every adapter paste still shares the same captureId and pinIds.
